De-greening

Here on the Olympic Peninsula, the green our long winter and spring rains usher forth requires no filter–emerald it is, lush it is, almost giggle-producing it is. Who invented this magic? Our trees–tall and twisted, moss-laden or even struck dead–do cure what ails us.

Grey–though it drives us to hibernate, weep, and eat too much– is second on our palette.
